Dr. Nicholas Jones is an Atlanta-based aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon. Having completed his training in both general and plastic surgery, he is double-board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Jones's professional philosophy is to provide high quality aesthetic and functional results while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and uncompromising safety and comfort. His passion as a plastic surgeon includes restoring his patients’ bodies to a more youthful and healthy state and revitalizing their self-confidence.
After completing his general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Dr. Jones received advanced fellowship training in microsurgery from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Before completing his plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Jones worked a year as a trauma surgeon.
Following his prestigious fellowship, he did a clerkship with Dr. Marcelo Araujo, a world-renowned cosmetic surgeon in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to enhance and refine his aesthetic technique.
A renowned African-American plastic surgeon in Atlanta, Dr. Jones is an active member of the plastic surgery community, both nationally and locally. He has guest lectured at the Morehouse School of Medicine and Emory School of Medicine; presented at regional and national plastic surgery conferences; has been featured on several national and local TV & radio shows, including ‘Beyond the Pole’, & ‘The Rickey Smiley Morning Show;’ and has published articles in several peer-reviewed medical journals.
His modification on a popular surgical technique, entitled, “Transoral Buccinator-Pexy”, was published in the distinguished Annals of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Jones holds membership with the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also has served as a board member for a local Susan G. Komen chapter, dedicated to breast cancer research and education.
A Louisiana native, Dr. Jones was awarded the Xavier University of Louisiana’s ‘40 Under 40’ in 2018. Outside of work, his personal vision includes his responsibility to his community. As a black plastic surgeon in Atlanta, Dr. Jones makes time to volunteer with First Tee of Atlanta, serving as a mentor to both college and medical students. He also visits local elementary and middle schools to inspire children to a career in medicine.
Dr. Jones is also a member of ‘100 Black Men of Atlanta,’ a non-profit organization that focuses on instilling confidence and improving quality of life with educational and economic opportunities for African-American youth in the Atlanta area.
In addition to volunteering with under-served youth, Dr. Jones is a lover of fitness, music, and sings with his local gospel choir. He also cherishes his ability to provide opportunities to others as a business owner and employer.
